Enchilada came into FBRN severely underweight and heartworm positive. She was an ex-breeder who was purchased on Craigslist and then turned over to us, partly because she looked like she had had puppies! Luckily, we at FBRN consider noticeable chestal nubbins to be badges of honor. Foster dad went straight to work, and Enchilada has now successfully completed her heartworm treatment, and she has blossomed into a sleek blonde bombshell. Looks aren't everything though, and Enchilada has a beautiful personality as well. She is dynamic, playful, and affectionate. She loves kids and other dogs, and she would love to find a home with either or both. Enchilada's history with cats is unknown, so as per FBRN policy, there can be no kitties in her forever home.

Enchilada loves to cuddle, but she also enjoys a brisk workout. Her foster dad takes her to the park when it is cool enough so that she can run to her heart's content. Her joie de vivre is one of her greatest assets, but her forever family will need to take care that she does not overheat. A securely fenced yard to frolic in would be greatly appreciated. We do mean securely fenced, because Enchilada has no qualms about slipping through holes and sharing the love with neighbors. She also has been known to gnaw on furniture if she does not have adequate supervision or access to much-loved chew toys. Enchilada is crate trained and house trained, but she might have the odd potty accident if she is stressed or left alone for more than four hours. All applicants should be aware, regardless of a foster's housebreaking status in the foster home, that any foster dog has the potential to backslide in a new environment. She does not need to have someone at home with her all day, but she would appreciate a lunchtime potty break or to accompany you to the office.
