Pololo’s name is Chilean for boyfriend, and this Frog is on the available page looking for his perfect match! Pololo was surrendered because his former owners did not have the time to dedicate to him. Luckily in foster care he has all the attention he could ever need.

This Frenchie is one active pup! Pololo is full of energy! He can go for miles, and has even been known to run on the treadmill for 10-15 minutes! His future family will need to make sure he gets lots of exercise to keep him happy. Once he’s worn out, Pololo loves to sit next to his people on the couch for a snuggle. And even better, he’s completely healthy!

Pololo has been around dog-savvy cats and kids and gets along well with them! Since he is so energetic he would probably do better with kids over six years. Pololo is a little bit dominant and therefore is selective about the other dogs he lives with. He has some resource guarding issues inside of the house with other males, but seems to get along well with submissive female dogs. He must be fed separately from other dogs and slow introductions will be a must. The good news is that these issues seem to be limited to when he’s inside his house. Outside the home he has never been aggressive, and he’s been to parks with lots of other dogs without any problems. Pololo is also still working on his potty and crate training. He gets anxious when he’s in his crate, and needs to go out every 2-4 hours but does sleep through the night. He’ll need a consistent schedule and a strong leader to help him with these issues.

The perfect forever home for Pololo would have someone who could be home with him or take him to work to make sure he gets enough potty breaks. He would do best as a single dog or with submissive female fur siblings, and he definitely needs an active family who can work on his potty training and anxiety issues with him.
