Doug is a six-month-old cream puppy who is active and loves people! He is in relative good health and was recently neutered. He does have two health issues. The first is a small deformity in his left nostril. Luckily the vet feels that Doug is getting enough air that surgery is not necessary right now. Doug also has a grade 3 luxating patella in his left back knee. He is currently on a supplement to see if it helps as he grows. Surgery may be necessary in the future to make sure he is as happy and healthy as can be!
Doug gets along with cats and other dogs. He loves to play and would enjoy a home with other dogs, but does get overwhelmed if play gets too rough. So a laidback but playful dog would likely be a better fit. Doug has never been around children, so it’s unknown how he would react, but he has no known aggression issues.
He is a puppy and is active, but not hyper. Like many puppies, he loves to get into what he shouldn’t! Doug is crate-trained, but he is still learning the ropes of house training. His new family will need to spend the time and attention needed to get Doug fully potty trained, and redirect him from his “adventures” in puppyhood! Luckily, Doug also enjoys playing with toys he’s supposed to, and loves people attention.
