Minerva is beautiful, graceful, and is ready to use her powers to find a forever home. This energetic 9-year-old started off her life as a breeder before spending time with her former family. When the family realized they could no longer care for her in the way she deserves, they lovingly surrendered her to FBRN for a chance at a permanent family.

After visiting the vet a few times, this sweet girl has been given the all-clear in the health department. She does have a growth on her front left leg, but it does not seems to causing any pain so the vet has opted to leave it alone for the time being. She also may need to have some teeth cleaned or possibly removed down the line, but she is otherwise a happy, healthy girl.

Minerva is energetic and loves playing fetch and going for walks. When she's ready to settle down, there are few things that make her happier than a soft doggy bed where she can curl up and snore for a bit.

She is housebroken, crate trained, and knows a few basic commands. After many, many walks with her foster mom, she's great on a leash.

Minerva is dog reactive around unknown dogs and truly behaves as if she hates them. If given the chance to act up during a walk, she will act like a fool barking and pulling and make a scary display despite her otherwise sweet demeanor. While she gets along well with the resident pack in her foster home, we must stress that this happened only after incredibly slow, careful introductions. She will do best with an owner that has some experience and a lot of confidence in handling reactive dogs.

While she loves all people, if the home includes children they should be old enough to know how to handle her gently and keep her away from situations where she might encounter unknown dogs.
