Pretty Monique is officially on the hunt for a family to call her own! This 2-year-old lady was surrendered to the Humane Society in Arizona before coming to FBRN. In her foster home Monique has proven to be playful and fun! She gets along well with everyone; Dogs, cats, kids, are all fine by her as long as they are ready to play!

Monique is the opposite of a couch potato, and loves to be active, and spend time outside. She also loves playing tug, chewing on toys (as well as shoes if you’re not careful – there’s still some puppy in her!), and playing hostess at the local dog park. She can have a bit of a dominant streak but does correct easily. She would do best with a more submissive fur-sibling, and a confident owner who has experience identifying and correcting this behavior. After all that playing Monique is happiest ending her day snuggled up next to her people.

Monique has a history of repeated UTI and bladder stones that require a special diet and medication, likely for the rest of her life. She is crate trained and knows how to use the doggy door to go outside, but still has an accident once in a while due to her health issues. Also due to this she tends to “leak” a little bit. Her foster mom reports that with baby wipes on hand this hasn’t been a problem, but her forever family should be prepared to keep her clean. She also has some mild incontinence at night, so sleeps with a diaper on, and may need them more often in the future.
