Marion has a bite history.

The lovely, honey-pied, Marion, is looking for the right forever family! Could it be yours? This darling girl was originally surrendered as a retired breeder, and then adopted to a family with a resident female Frenchie. Unfortunately, Marion had a difficult time getting along with her new fur-sister. The resulting aggression ended with a serious dog bite to her previous human dad while he was trying to break-up a fight between the two dogs. Marion found herself back in FBRN care, and after very slow introductions has proven that she can co-exist with another male Frenchie. She has exhibited mild snarky behavior towards her male foster fur-brother. Due to her history, we prefer that Marion be placed in a home with no other dogs. However, very qualified, experienced applicants with only resident male dogs in their homes may be considered. Be sure to tell us about your experience in your bio.

Marion has mild allergies and can sometimes be an itchy girl, but she is otherwise healthy. She's a happy and sweet girl who loves to zoom around in the yard. She also loves hanging out and watching TV while she chews on a Nylabone. She is housebroken and she’s even pretty good in her crate, but she can be a little whiny at first when crated. Marion mostly likes to just hang out with her people nearby. She doesn’t always have to be in your lap, but she likes to be close. She's not aggressive toward people--please remember her bite history was in the context of a dog fight.

We think Marion would do well with people who go to work as long as she has a mid-day break. She has been okay for about 6 hours alone, but the longer she is crated the more zoomies she will need to get out in the backyard! Speaking of backyard, a home with a fenced yard is preferred, but a condo or townhouse with a smaller fenced area might also work. Tell us about your plans to exercise her if you don't have a fenced yard. Marion would be a fantastic office companion as long as she's the only dog in the office!
