This little cowdog's favorite thing to do is not eat grass as her namesake would indicate, it's give kisses! Vaca would like nothing better than to cuddle with her people and kiss them all day long. Vaca also LOVES to chew on bones and play fetch. But really, she is mostly a lazy girl and takes about 10-15 naps a day!

Vaca was surrendered to FBRN because her previous owners were unable to provide the strong leadership she needed. Vaca is slightly hard of hearing and needs to wear an electronic collar. Since she has been in foster care, Vaca has been working with a wonderful trainer who has taught her how to be a good girl and follow the rules. FBRN would prefer that Vaca be adopted by a family that lives in Central Indiana (or very close by) so that she can continue to work with her trainer when she moves into her new home.

Prior to training, Vaca would become very dominant and food aggressive if her people allowed her to. She WAS throwing attention seeking tantrums and would air snap at you. She has been to the trainer and has been trained with an electronic collar. Currently, the behavior is minimal. She has a problem with physical confrontation and will stand her ground, but with the use of the collar she does not react with growling and staring you down. She simply does what you ask. Since Vaca is hard of hearing, she does startle if she is abruptly awakened.

Due to her need to continue her training, Vaca needs to go to a home with strong leaders. She would prefer to be the only dog, but a home with stable laid back dogs would be fine. Because of her previous history of tantrums she needs to be with kids 15+. Children in the house would need to know not to trigger unwanted behavior. She needs to be adopted by a family that has previous bully breed experience. Vaca would not be well suited for first time bulldog owners. Be sure to tell us about your experience and qualifications for this special girl in your application.

Vaca is such a smart girl and is house broken and crate trained. The trainer has taught her to sit, stay, lay down, follow, off and leave it. She is very good in her crate and will sleep there while her person is out at work.
