Antonella is house trained and crate trained, but she should be kept on a regular schedule to prevent any little accidents. She is a good girl who knows the commands "stay" and "come," and she likes to sleep in her little bed near her person.

8-year-old Antonella seems to have suffered a back injury in the past and has mild hip dysplasia resulting in mobility issues for which she takes the supplement Phycox HA. Her foster momma also gives her Cholodin, a dietary supplement for senior dogs. Antonella's front legs sometimes give out on her and she needs to be carried up and down flights of more than 2-3 stairs. This, however, does not deter her from engaging in one of her favorite pastimes -- following her person everywhere! She also loves to cuddle and play with people! She sometimes nibbles fingers when she gets excited during a play session, but not hard enough to hurt. You can be assured that you will not need to spend a fortune on toys for Antonella, because she would much rather play with you!

Antonella does well with cats, though she does like to chase them just a little until they put her in her place. She also gets along with submissive dogs. She adores her pug and pit bull foster siblings, and chases the two resident frenchies. It will be important, if there are dogs in her forever home, to ensure that they are compatible. Antonella likes children, but if there are kids in the home they (and their friends) should be old enough and responsible enough to avoid falling on her or otherwise risking harm to her spine. A family with adults only would also be just fine with Antonella--probably best, in fact.
