Bailey just turned 4 years old on July 11. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her rabies vaccine. She is a little black masked red girl who is full of energy. She is good with cats, and ignores other dogs. She doesn’t seek out other dogs to play with, but she will snuggle with other dogs when she calms down. She has a lot of energy and is always busy busy busy. She loves to chew on meaty bones and is very food motivated. She would fit best into a home that is active and willing to keep her occupied – little Miss Bailey is not a couch potato! She does however, settle down once she gets her energy burned off. Bailey likes to be the center of attention – and when left she will bark and howl, so she probably wouldn’t be suited to living in an apartment or townhouse with thin walls. She doesn’t do well with toddlers and young children. She gets very excited and chases them – nipping in excitement at their clothes. She should not go to a home with children under 8- or a home where small children will be visiting on a regular basis. Bailey is very smart and learns quickly – but should go to an experienced dog home as she needs rules and boundaries. She will constantly test to see what she can get away with – whether its using her head like a battering ram to knock down a baby gate – or barking to get out of her crate. While it may seem this little red head is just too much to handle – rest assured she is worth it, as she loves to be with people all the time. She wants to be in your lap, by your side – and will follow you everywhere. She loves to snuggle and give kisses, when she has settled down in the evening.

Bailey must be picked up in person in Maryland- but she is small enough (15lbs) to fit in an in cabin carrier and her foster family can meet at BWI, Dulles, or Reagan airports, if you just have to have this little girl, but aren’t close enough to drive.

Bailey shows no signs of resource guarding and has no issues with being handled. She is very good about letting her foster mom trim her nails. She has no behavioral issues, other than being excessively nippy with small children. Bailey has no health issues
Bailey’s adoption fee is $500.
