Now that his medical troubles are behind him, Dobby is a happy-go-lucky dog who is laid back and pleased as punch to have any company -– human or canine! He loves cuddle time and belly rubs. Dobby is satisfied with a short walk. He is not high energy, but does briefly play with his foster Frenchie sister before he tires out and needs a nap. He prefers chew toys like Nylabones or antlers to stuffies.

Dobby is housebroken but does not like to be crated. He will bark when crated to notify you of his discontent. His foster mom reports he’s been able to break out of a wire crate. His forever family should keep him on a regular potty schedule. He knows basic commands like “sit” and “stay.” When he first came to FBRN, his eyes were also blue-ish and cloudy, but some special eye ointment has cleared that right up! His new home will need to apply the ointment only as needed.

First-time Frenchie owners are fine. His ideal owner has lots of time to spend with Dobby and would be around most of the day. He can probably accompany his owner to an office. Dobby would do fine in either an apartment or a house. A fenced yard is not required, but Dobby should be leashed for walks if there isn’t one.
