While Atlas is in Olympic-worthy physical shape, he is 100% deaf. Try as you might to call his name, he will never listen to you! Atlas doesn't care though and knows hand signals for “sit”, “shake”. His foster family has been working on the “floor stomp” to get his attention when he’s looking elsewhere.

This handsome hunk is an active, playful lug of a Frenchie. He enjoys playing outside and with other dogs. His favorite toys are balls and nylabones, but he’s willing to give any toy a try for bit; he’s not picky! Although he may be a giant, he firmly believes that he belongs in someone’s lap just like any other more petite Frenchie.
Atlas enjoys the company of other dogs, except around feeding times. He can be a bit protective around his food, but with all the hulk he has to maintain it’s easy to understand why! If he shares his home with other dogs, separate feeding areas would be a good idea to maintain the peace. He has never met a cat, so per policy, no home with cats. Kids are unknown at this time, but since he is very people-centric, older, dog -savvy kids who understand his handicap (and who reliably shut doors and gates behind themselves) would likely be okay. Atlas is house-trained and crate-trained (with some persuasion), but will mess in his crate if left over 4 or 5 hours, so a lunchtime walker is a must.
