Mike Wazowski seems to have a strong dislike of farm animals, and has reportedly attacked some in the past. In fact, a scuffle with a donkey resulted in a well-aimed kick and damage to the left side of his face. Luckily his owner and vets acted quickly and were able to treat the injury effectively. It seems that though Mike can’t see out of it, the eye healed nicely and doesn’t need to be removed. However, his future owner should remember that there is the possibility it might need to be in the future. The good news is that other than being startled by things on his blind side, Mike is completely healthy!

Though he doesn’t like farm animals, Mike seems to be fine with other dogs. He is well socialized and knows how to respect the boundaries of other dogs, like during mealtimes. He would probably enjoy a home with another even-tempered dog. He has not been tested with cats, but per FBRN policy, and given his strong prey drive, he will not be placed in a home with feline friends.

Mike Wazowski would do well in pretty much any kind of home - as long as his person or family was willing to spoil and love him! He is a sweet, lazy Frenchie who is happiest sleeping next to you on the couch or following you around. He is housebroken and crate trained, but needs a firm leader when walking on a leash as he tries to pull. He does respond very well to verbal corrections, but keep in mind that he’s a sensitive soul and don’t be too firm!

A person who works outside the home would be fine with Mike, although he would prefer to be kenneled next to another dog for company. With slow introductions to other office dogs, he could also probably accompany his person to work.

Mike’s future family will definitely need to be aware of his blindside and try not to catch him by surprise. He tends to run into things sometimes, and he takes his time on the stairs because of it. But as long as his forever people keep this in mind, Mike will be a great addition to the family!
