Crush was surrendered by a family who didn’t have enough time for him or funds for his medical care. He’s been the perfect gentleman in foster care. He’s totally housebroken and has no problem going into his crate. He’s learning commands over again as he was in a Spanish-speaking household before coming to foster care and is being taught commands in English. Crush is a bi-lingual Frenchie! He really wants to do nothing but please his people.

Crush’s favorite activities are being with humans, taking long walks when it’s not too hot out and chewing on toys. In fact, Crush has been known to steal a few toys that belong to the resident toddler in his foster home, so care should be taken when it comes to Crush having access to things that aren’t dog-friendly. Crush hasn’t met a person or other dog that he didn’t like. As he’s not been exposed to cats, we’re saying no to a household with cats, per FBRN policy.

Crush would fit in almost any household; house, condo, RV. He is housebroken so can be left alone without worry. However, a mid-day potty break is never a bad idea, so if his forever family is away from home all day, being able to come home for lunch to visit with Crush or having a dog walker would be ideal. A securely fenced yard is a must if you’re unable to leash-walk Crush. His former home said that he escaped a few times so he needs to be monitored, and any kids in the house must be trustworthy around gates and doors.

Crush’s medical needs have been addressed since coming in to FBRN. He had a luxating patella (knee issue) that has been fixed through surgery. His recovery is progressing beautifully. He also has a cataract in one eye, leaving him blind in that eye. Crush has a condition called Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca or KCS. What is THAT you ask? It’s also known as dry-eye. This means that Crush will need daily drops in his eyes for the rest of his life. These drops aren’t expensive but if he doesn’t have them, it is very painful for him and could lead to blindness in his other eye. He'll need regular check ups with a veterinary opthalmologist, so applicants should be aware of that and able to afford those visits.
