Dazzling came through her spay with flying colors and has no health concerns. Applicants might notice that one of her ears flops over. That's because of a hematoma (kind of a giant blood blister) that was untreated. She hears just fine and we think the flipped over ear gives her a delightful, rather chic appearance, like those ladies' hats from the 40's that tipped over one eye.

Dazzling's foster mom invites the neighborhood children to visit her foster dogs, and she reports that as is true of many dogs used for breeding and unfamiliar with life in a house, Daffodil is a bit shy and timid. If there are children in the home, they should be dog-savvy and willing to allow Dazzling to make friends at her own pace. This is very difficult for most children (and many adults!), so we are looking for a family with rescue experience, where kids are patient and compassionate and willing to wait.

Dazzling is not interested in the cat in her foster home, and she doesn't care about the other dogs, either. She's juuuust starting to get the hang of toys and treat-time, and she will line up with all the other foster dogs to get a taste of a little something yummy. One of her favorite things is dinner time. Another is to nap under the air conditioning vent! She's a happy camper. She comes when she is called, loves to follow her foster mom around the house, sits at her feet, and enjoys a little naptime snuggle-up. Her foster mom has observed no possessiveness or guarding and no temperament issues of any kind apart from her timidity around children.

House-training is a work in progress. Foster mom says she is so eager to please that house-training will be easier than with many breeder dogs. Dazzling is crate trained.

In terms of homes, Dazzling is not a big barker, so she'd be a good apartment dog. She'd be a good choice for first-time Frenchie owners--impress us with your knowledge of the breed in your application--and she'd be happiest in a home where people enjoy giving a girl attention. She'd be ok at home if you go to work, but she'd need a midday break for pottying and for tummy rubs. She'd be a fine apprentice for the workplace! We'll give preference to a home where someone can be with her all day. She has spent a lot of time without people in her life, and she should have the pleasure of people's company for her retirement.
