water filter

I am thinking of purchasing a Brita (or similar) water pitcher for the fridge. In our house I do believe the water is a good cause of tear stains. So if I can give the dogs water out of that & plus use it for coffee, it should kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I would be constantly refilling it but that's ok.
Does anyone have one of these they use for there dogs water, I just used Brita as an example.

We have one built into our fridge. So I am no help in the refill devices. But the filtered water does help

The filtered water should help and we used a Brita once for our bullies when we were selling our other house and lived in an apartment for a short time. It worked pretty well.
