Gregarious (called โ€œGregโ€ at his foster home) is on the hunt for his forever home! This sweet gentleman was surrendered to FBRN by another rescue after a few failed adoption attempts due to some incontinence issues. Poor Greg is a big sweetheart who is just looking for a quiet home in his retirement.

While in foster care, Greg has made some progress on potty training, but does have some minor urinary incontinence. He takes medicine twice a day that costs around $12.00 a month for incontinence and bladder spasms. He will potty outside, but must be watched closely in the house. He will also have accidents in his crate if contained for over two hours, and should not be kept in it for any extended period of time. A belly band might help with his incontinence indoors. He has not, however, defecated indoors. Greg is estimated to be around eight or nine years old and has some hearing loss and minor cataracts. Because he is hard of hearing, a home with a fence will be preferred to keep him safely contained. He also has better success off leash for potty training and is slowly learning some hand signals.

Gregarious was aptly named as he loves everyone! He adores children of all ages, has no issues with cats, and loves all kinds of dogs! Greg is a little shy when first meeting someone, especially men, but once he warms up he loves nothing better than lying beside you on the couch all day. Greg is not a big toy player, but he does enjoy chewing on bones. He lets other animals play and take charge, and he is happy to be a submissive, laid-back member of the pack.

Gregโ€™s ideal home would be a quieter home with someone home all day to give him regular access outside to do his business. He could also adapt to an office environment with a little time, but again would need ready access outside. As mentioned previously, a home with a fence would be preferred to continue his potty training and due to his hearing loss. As Greg loves everyone, he is happy to share his home with children, cats, and other dogs. His forever home must, however, understand that accidents will happen and he should not be punished for them. He is aware after he has an accident and is ashamed, but he cannot help it.
