Pumpkin (formerly Campbell) is one of the EC-12. She is a 7-year-old honey pied spayed girl, who is up to date on all her vaccinations and has had a complete dental.

When she came into foster care, she couldn’t walk very well due to a puppyhood surgery that left her hind end weak. Her foster mom has been working hard to help Pumpkin. Because of her hind end weakness, she should have a short walk 2 times a day to keep her active and keep the muscles she has gained strong. She should not go to a home with a lot of stairs, as she cannot go up and down stairs. Please be prepared to carry her if she needs to go up and down stairs.

She is a very low key dog who just wants to cuddle and snuggle all the time. She is indifferent with other dogs, ignores cats, and is fine around children of all ages. Pumpkin has shown no resource guarding of food or toys. Pumpkin like many of the other EC 12 girls, was shy when she came into foster care. Now she loves to meet people and her favorite thing is to enjoy quality time on your lap. She is just as sweet as her name, Pumpkin Pie.

Pumpkin would do best in a home where there is someone home all the time or a home that can provide very regular visits for potty breaks. According to the foster family “Her house training has only gotten to the point where she does well when we are home”. She can hold it for approximately 3 hours, but then she will just pee in her crate if she is not let outside. If you are home however, and take her outside on a regular basis, she has no accidents in the house. She loves food and is very food motivated. She loves to chew meaty bones and bully sticks, but she so far doesn’t show much interest in toys.

If your heart and your lap are missing something, then this girl may be what you are looking for. What is autumn without some Pumpkin Pie!
