Charming prefers a calm and quiet environment, so we would suggest older children. There is not a resident feline in her foster home, but while outside, Charming does not mind the neighbor’s cats. She's a slow-moving dog in any event, so if you have dog-savvy cats with a safe place to retire to, they should be fine. We think she would be fine with a dog-savvy cat. Charming is an only in her foster home, and we know she enjoys this arrangement. However, she interacts well with other dogs in the neighborhood and when out at local pet events. Charming does not like hyper or energetic dogs and will growl to let them know she is not interested in play.

Charming is definitely very laid back and happy. She is sweet, loving, and eager to please. Charming seems to love structure, and in her foster home, she is on a schedule that she has down to a "T". She is smart and never misses a beat! She has no temperament issues and has been food/toy tested. Charming is housebroken and crate trained. Although, she did have accidents in the house when she first arrived in her foster home, those stopped once she adjusted to the new environment and schedule.

Charming loves to sleep and cuddle under the blankets! She loves to be pampered and in return she gives lots of kisses. Her favorite toys are the squeaky/soft toys. She loves going for walks, but is okay with short walks and doesn’t require a lot of exercise.

Charming would do best in a calm home where she is not left alone all day. Apartment, house, fence, no-fence…those things don’t matter to Charming! A home where she is loved and gets the attention she deserves is all she seeks. First time Frenchie owners would be great as long as they are committed to following the allergy regime (daily medication and paw-wiping, weekly baths).

Teenagers, 12 years old and over, would be okay as long as they are respectful of dogs. We don't think having other animals in the home would be a problem as long as they are laid back. Charming does not like sudden, loud noises or lots of commotion all at once, so super-busy households with lots of slamming and banging and coming and going and yelling and ruckus would make her unhappy. She prefers to go hide where it is quiet if there is too much going on. She would be happy to accompany her person to the office, but it would have to be a quiet office environment.
