Bethany can be a bit of a boss at times and has let the other dogs in her foster home know when she does not want to be bothered. Due to her occasional crankiness, a home without small children, other dogs or cats is recommended. Not lacking in confidence, Bethany will hold her own in a pack of dogs and will stand up for what she thinks is hers. Bethany has a vibrant personality that not all other dogs appreciate. She is not big on sharing toys and would do best with no other dogs and not multiple dogs.
Bethany is smart, silly and active. She will play with toys independently then settle down for a nap and some snuggles with her humans. At playtime, she does best in a fenced-in yard. She is a vocal gal and will let you know when she wants attention. Her fun, energetic, silly self would be a great companion for a single person or couple with a fenced-in yard in a suburban or rural area. If you are looking for a spunky little gal who can play hard and snuggle just as hard, then Bethany is your girl. She is definitely a Velcro Frenchie and prefers her human contact.
Bethany loves being loved on – massage, petting, kisses, cuddling anything really. She also loves her midday walk and will make a fabulous walking buddy for you. She’s a dream on a leash as she strolls with you through the neighborhood. Although she’s housebroken and crate trained, her midday walk is really important. So, someone working from home, works PT or who is around more will keep her happy and healthy. She does not care for the crate and will fuss. A take to work situation would be ideal or a safe area at home where she is not crated.
Bethany came to rescue with a few health issues all of which have been resolved except her cataract in one eye. She is currently not a candidate for surgery and has limited vision in that eye, but it does not slow her down. Her ears were a mess when she arrived and should be kept in tip top shape going forward. Years of breeding left her with some sagging, but she doesn’t seem to mind. Regular baths keep everything in working order.
If Bethany could be a great fit for your family apply today.
