MUST BE AN ONLY PET- NO OTHER DOGS- NO CATS OR BUNNIES OR OTHER PETS. NO CHILDREN UNDER 10. PLEASE READ HIS BIO CLOSELY TO DETERMINE IF YOU ARE THE IDEAL FOREVER HOME FOR HIM OR NOT

Bugsy is a 1 ½ year old French Bulldog -English Bulldog mix. His face and ears are all Frenchie, his body is English. He’s attentive to his foster mom and eager to learn new tricks when there are treats around.

Bugsy was an owner surrender as he was starting fights with the other dogs in the home. His previous owner took good care of him, he was not neglected, she did not ignore him, he was loved and well-taken care of.

Bugsy is a cream color mix. He is 50 lbs of love, larger than a Frenchie. He has been micro-chipped, vetted and neutered. He’s in good health and is not showing any signs of allergies.

Bugsys personality is of a typical 1 ½ year old. He loves attention, but is fine laying on the floor watching his foster mom work on her computer. He loves to go out for long walks. He loves to sniff at everything, but when his foster gets serious about walking he is great on a leash and follows her instructions. He’s not particularly fond of toys. He will chase the ball, if you chase it with him. He is more accustomed to chasing it outside, but his attention span is short, he would rather sniff his surroundings and watch the squirrels. He has an antler to chew on but is not interested in it.

Bugsy is taken out on a leash due to his foster mom not having a fenced yard. She believes he would be great with a fenced yard to get the exercise he needs, but loves to know where his human is and loves to be near them. He is very well potty trained with only 2 accidents in the house since he’s been with his foster. He will sit or lay by the back door to let you know that he needs his break. Sometimes he will bark and this will be confused with wanting a treat or needing a potty break. But, if he really needs to go out, he sits close to the door.

In the short time that he has been with his foster mom he has learned to sit on command, stay and come. We are working on his ‘off’, he still likes to greet people by jumping up on them, hence the reason we have marked him as no children under 10 years old. But, he is learning. He is treat motivated and loves the attention that training with treats gives him.

He loves to lay on the couch at night and watch his favorite tv shows with his foster mom. He’s a great couch napper while waiting to go to bed at night. He thinks that he is a lap dog and wants to be in your lap but is easily convinced that he can’t. His foster mom thinks its his way of pushing her out of his favorite spot on the couch.

Bugsy is crate trained and does not have a problem going into his crate when his foster needs to run out. He sleeps in his crate in his fosters bedroom AND is very willing to wait for her to get up in the morning and does not disturb her sleep as long as his crate is near his people or he gets to sleep in bed with them. He’s also very good at waiting until she has her first cup of coffee to go out for to potty and breakfast.

Bugsy is a young, well mannered, eager to please pet that would be great in a home with middle – older children that would like to spend time with him. His foster believes he is bored with only her in the home and would love to have more activity in the house. He is very ‘in-tune’ with his human and watches her face all the time for signals. He rarely is not by her side. He loves to help her empty the towels from the dryer and have a warm towel placed on his back. He is a snuggler and loves being by her side, even on the smallest of chairs. Bugsy is not concerned with vacuums, he lays on the floor watching the vacuum. But, he does get upset with the loud garbage disposal. He has not learned that barking at it will not make it stop.

Bugsy needs a home with no other dogs. His one bad trait is his ‘bullying’ of other dogs. He’s has not shown any aggression to other dogs on walks, but has a history of ‘bullying ‘ other dogs he lives with.
