I'm new to the site so sorry if the is a repeated question. Our 8 year old french bulldog has been doing these crazy head spins for awhile now and so we finally recorded a couple and showed our vet and he diagnosed them as cycle motor seizures and has put her on medication to treat it. However we were discussing these episodes with our nephew who has a 4 year old french bulldog and he said his frenchie does the same thing and that his vet told him its an irritated tail pocket and the dog is just trying to itch it. The vet recommended the 4 year old frenchie just need some medicated wipes to clean the tail pocket area to prevent the irritation. Does anyone have similar experience, I don't want to medicate my dog for seizures if its just an irritated tail pocket??

It could definitely be the tail pocket and it sounds like the tail pocket. A second opinion with a vet that is familiar with Frenchies would be a good idea to confirm.

Agreed… I would check the pocket and get a second option for sure.
