Oh Snap! Ginger is ready for her forever home! This attractive diva currently resides in Brooklyn, N.Y. but is packing her suitcase with her favorite hedgehog toy and eagerly preparing to meet her adoptive people.
Six year old, 22 lbs French Bulldog, Ginger, would like to find a relaxed home with no other pets and no children. An ideal setting for this li’l lady would consist of adults who are around the home most of the day because her favorite thing in the world is to be with her people. She expresses her appreciation by showing off her knowledge of basic commands, displaying perfect manners during car rides, and thriving on attention from her people. A fenced yard where Ginger can relax safely outside is very high on her wish list as well.
Ginger was an owner surrender to S.N.O.R.T. due to some disagreements with the other dog in the household, so Ginger will definitely need to be an only pet. In her prior home, this diva considered her food bowl and her favorite toys as hers and hers alone and didn’t appreciate the other canine sauntering anywhere near her prizes. Although her possessive side does make Ginger a great guard dog. Most of all, Ginger longs for human companionship. She is described as a “low maintenance, beautiful inside and out, and very quiet” by her foster mom.
When she is alone with her people, Ginger is a great combination of busy, playful, but also low key. She is being fostered in the city, but would do well in a city or rural environment. Given the right circumstances, she would do well as a ‘take-along-to-work’ dog. She loves daily walks and equally enjoys resting on the sofa afterwards. She is crate trained and house trained and known to take her hedgehog to bed with her. Best friends need to be kept at paw’s reach. Most of all, this gal simply wants to feel secure.
On the medical end, Ginger is being treated for allergies for which she takes a monthly Cytopoint injections. She also takes Fluconazole as well as medicated baths for yeasty feet. Both conditions are very treatable, but prospective adopters will need to commit to keeping Ginger comfortable and itch free. A grain free diet is also an important wellness component. Ginger is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
Do you understand the Frenchie breed and have what it takes to give this pretty gal the sense of belonging and importance that she’s been searching for? If you want to be Ginger’s soul mate, fill out a S.N.O.R.T. adoption application today!
