Get ready to swoon over this lovely black-masked ginger. Linda is now accepting applications for her forever home and canāt wait to see whatās next for her. This 7-year-old female Frenchie was surrendered by her former owner who became unable to care for Linda. She is smart, independent, and playful.
Linda is looking for a forever home with a devoted and attentive owner. She currently accompanies her foster mom to work and has been on her best behavior in the office. Linda would also be okay at home if her owner has to leave for work, as long as she gets some mid-day lovinā and a potty break from her owner or a pet sitter. She does fine when home alone, but does crave company and should not be left home alone all day every day. First-time Frenchie owners are okay, but awareness of breed-specific needs will be necessary, so please address how you are familiar or will familiarize yourself with these issues in your application. Linda will train a new owner just fine.
Linda gets along well with the two resident bullies in her foster home, but she does have some mild toy aggression. She likes to think that all the toys are hers. As such, Linda is best around other submissive dogs and should not be given unsupervised play time with toys if other dogs are around. Per FBRN policy, Linda will not be placed in a feline-friendly home, as her reaction to cats is unknown. Linda loves human company and will command your attention when she wants it. She hangs out with the rest of the pack just fine, usually keeping to herself and being quiet.
Linda knows a few commands, including sit, stay, five, up, down, and half roll-over. She is housebroken but will sometimes pee in the house for unknown reasons, so her future owner will need to keep working on this with her, and be aware of this fact before applying. Her foster mom reports that Linda doesnāt have accidents in the house when her foster mom is away from home, so itās unclear why Linda pees inside the house on occasion. It's possible she may never be completely housetrained, so if that's a deal-breaker, it's best not to apply for Linda.
Linda likes kids but is prone to jumping on them out of excitement. Therefore, she should only be placed in a home without very young children, as she may knock them down. She enjoys all toys and treats, loves to cuddle with her people, and is fond of sunning herself outside.
