Rozzie is a beautiful 3 year old, brindle Frenchie. She was surrendered by a family who felt that they no longer had time for her or enough space for her in their new place. The family decided that the best decision was to allow French Bulldog Village to find Rozzie a home that provides her with exactly what she needs to live a long, happy life.
Rozzie is housebroken and has no ongoing health issues. She is crate trained and leash trained. However, she is working on better manners while walking on leash. She also knows the command โ€œsit.โ€ Rozzie does not need a home in which someone is home all day with her but she does require a home with a fenced yard.
She is a sweet girl who likes to play and chew on bones. She will get in your dishwasher to lick dirty dishes and will attempt to get in low garbage cans, too. She is either in cuddle mode or play mode. Rozzie also has a dominant personality so she needs a knowledgeable family to keep her in line. In large groups of people, she may growl when approached. She is dominant around other dogs but does okay with submissive dogs when slow introductions are provided. You have to keep an eye on her because she will go into dominant mode and go after other dogs. She can get jealous over other dogs as well. Rozzie really would do best as an only dog.
When outside, Rozzie will chase birds and small critters; she also wants to run towards people and dogs that she sees. Due to this, she requires a fenced yard. Her foster mom is working on focus training with her and she is doing well. She needs a family to carry on this training for when she goes on walks. She barks and lunges at other people and dogs and pulls on the leash when walking, but she has done wonderfully on the Gentle Leader Harness. She also had never been taught to go up and down steps so she is also working on using stairs. As of now, she will go down but is still scared to go up.
Here is what her foster mom describes as the ideal home for Rozzie: โ€œShe needs an understanding home who is willing to work with her on her issues. She needs a knowledgeable family that can keep her dominant personality in line and is familiar with brachycephalic breeds. She needs a family who will keep her for the rest of her life, giving her lots of love.โ€
Rozzie loves to chew on toys and play fetch. She also loves to cuddle and take naps as well as go on rides in the car. She is a real sweetheart and will be a great family dog if given the proper training. She absolutely loves to be near her people. If you feel Rozzie is the perfect girl for you, please submit an application to adopt this cutie!
