Hi. Our little girl (8 months) has started scratching her ear, behind her ear and her face. She also chews on her paws a lot. The vet said it's allergies. With the help of a lot of nice helpful people here we found a food we'll try and giving her a antihistamine. Now while we do that it would be nice to give her some relief with a soothing shampoo. Can anybody recommend one?

I use either Ketohex or Chlorohexidine.

For her paws, you can try an iodine soak. Get some povidone iodine, dilute with water until the color of iced tea and then soak paws for about 5 minutes. You can do that every day as needed.

We take our dogs to a groomer now--YAY--Buster has no food or skin allergies, double YAY, and Ruggles only has food allergies so we use what the groomer uses!

You can also try switching to a raw dehydrated food like Honest Kitchen to see if that helps with allergies. If it is environmental allergies a Cytopoint injection every 1-2 months is much more effective than an antihistamine.
