Meet our chocolate dipped spitfire Miss Rou! She has made it to the available page and we know you’ve all been waiting.
Little Miss Rou was dumped at an animal control in Atlanta Georgia by her family when she was only a year old. She was then picked up by a local all breed rescue. Her lack of socialization and pure Frenchie bossiness got her quickly evicted. Luckily, she found her way to us in the Village.
She has made great progress with her basic good manners and is responding well to training and redirection. She is a fast learner and is food and toy motivated. She is sweet, goofy, playful and loves to play with toys, especially playing fetch with squeaky toys.
Unfortunately, she does NOT like other animals. She will NEVER be cat safe- and by that we mean if she gets a cat she will seriously hurt it. She is also very reactive to other dogs. Her foster home has worked very hard with her and though she will never be a doggy daycare pup and should be an only dog, with continued work she should be ok in group classes and the incidental interaction during leashed walks.
Rou has also shown fear aggression when she has been restrained. This has only occurred during a stressful event.
