Hello everyone,
We are from salmon arm BC, we have a 1 1/2 year old frenchie whom we have seen multiple vets this week who cannot give us a straight answer as to my Burt has a softball size swelling just below his mandible. It has changed size and position through the week it is not responding to antibiotics and the labs came back showing infection or abscess, they are thinking a blocked salivary gland but I just don’t understand why no one will drain it. They want to send us to a specialist but cannot get in for 10’days. He cannot wait that long, his poor little face is so swollen and getting to be in quite a bit of pain which we are trying to handle with painkiller/anti inflammatory. Anyone have any similar experiences?
We are going for a 3/4 opinion tomorrow morning, fingers crossed.
