Sonia has made her debut on the available page and is looking for the perfect forever home! This eight-year-old girl came to FBRN from a breeder situation, and had a slew of health problems. Now she is in great shape--besides some typical Frenchie allergies that are controlled with certain food--and the lack of vision in her left eye, which doesn’t require any ongoing treatment.

While she enjoys a good romp in the backyard, Sonia really just loves to snuggle with her humans and be the center of attention! She gets along with just about everyone, including cats and other dogs, though she prefers her canine friends to be older or more relaxed. This older lady just doesn’t have the patience for puppy antics!

Sonia has met some children and done well with them, but didn’t like the new family dynamic when her foster family brought home a newborn baby. She’s fine with the baby, but the change in routine and shift in attention has caused her stress and made her regress with potty training. Sonia thrives off of routine, and as long as she’s kept on a schedule, she doesn’t have many accidents. She’ll need a forever family that will work on her training and commit to keeping her routine regular. She is also housebroken, and stays in her crate when her people leave to avoid accidents.

The perfect forever home for Sonia could be almost anywhere as long as her family is willing to train a stubborn, but highly food motivated frog. A single person, couple, or family with older children (10+) would be fine as long as they weren’t planning on having any more. First time educated Frenchie owners are fine as long as they’re willing to shower Sonia with all the attention she deserves! Another dog sibling would be fine as long as they have a similar energy level and they were introduced slowly over two or three days.

Sonia enjoys running in the backyard, but would likely be just as happy with being leash walked. Since she’s used to being crated, she wouldn’t necessarily need someone that is home all day, as long as she was given a midday potty break. She could also potentially go to the office with her person with the right training; she gets very excited when she meets people but over time would probably get used to it.
