Snoring, 2 months after nasal and soft palate laser surgery. Any suggestions other than another room for sleeping

Welcome!

How old is he?

How was his recovery? Did he bark or anything or over play during recovery to make it more inflamed soft palate and delay healing?

Was he snoring before surgery? Did his other symptoms improve after surgery?

Some frenchies will always snore a little bit, but it shouldn’t be that loud.

Thank you for your response. It seems the same prior to surgery, the vet suggested it may take a year to lessen but we are observing snoring at twice the volume of a human, making it almost impossible to be in the same room let alone sharing a bed.
No other symptoms, a fine dog of 9 months old. I may just assess and after a year if it does not improve we may need to wait a while and try again.

Possibly the vet didn’t take as much off as he should have, and may need the palate surgery again in the future, I would follow the guidance of your vet(preferably one that knows Frenchies and the breed), as far as the next steps for his loud snoring.

Was that his only symptom of needing palate surgery?

Sometimes inflammation from the dog food can irritate that palate when it’s healing.
What do you feed him?
