Hi everyone!

It’s been a long time since I made a post here... a blessing to not have needed medicinal advice but first I hope everyone is doing well! ❤️

Next, as some of you may know... earlier this year Isabelle lost use of her back legs...
Thankfully with quick intervention of medicine, laser therapy, and some physical therapy at home, she can stand and walk on her own again.

The issue now is that she obsessively licks her back paws to the point where she how has cysts between her toes.

I do have topical ointments for the cysts, but beyond that, do any of you have any medicine suggestions or at home remedies?

I can’t do the ACV trick because she can’t stand that long and I don’t want to risk hurting her.

Thanks everyone!

Hey there! Hope you are well!

A lot of those cyst are from allergies and as you realized moisture. Keeping the paws clean and dry can help.. if you can’t do the soaks, can you try to schedule AVC wipe?

Do they have wipes?!
I definitely didn’t know that.
That would be awesome. [emoji119]

She takes Benadryl daily for allergies.
We tried Apoquel but the price to payoff ratio for her wasn’t even worth it.

She’s never had issues with her paws until now. I’m tempted to cone her but she’s already paralyzed and that just seems like torture to add a cone [emoji3064]

Oh sorry, I meant make your own wipes, use a paper towel and poor the ACV on the towels to wipe her paws. Have you tried Cytopoint shots?

Oh ! Regardless that’s a good idea.
I’ll try that.

Titan started the shot because he gets allergic staph but since Isabelle was on like 6 scripts from being paralyzed we didn’t want to add anything else to her system so I just had to stick with the Benadryl but I could definitely try asking about the shot when she goes for her next laser appt!

I would look into the Cytopoint shots as well. What is she currently eating? You can also try spraying the cysts with collodial silver.

Both eat fromm
& freeze fried raw toppers

definitely ask.. also, Benadryl might not be the best for her, it doesn’t do anything for my guys... try Claritin or Zyrtec if you think that could be the case

Jake just got Cytopoint shot yesterday. It really helps and keeps him from licking his feet.
