Twiggy went to work with me today until 1:00. I wanted the Vet to give her a once over and I got her Rabies and Bordetella updated. Then we went to Tractor Supply to pick up a few things, then to the hospital to visit my Dad. My Dad hasn't seen her and was really bugging me to bring her by so I did and everyone loved her. Actually everyone loved her everywhere we went and she loved them too! After that we picked up my 16 year old from school. I needed to run into the grocery store so I left my daughter in the car with her (with it running and A/C on of course). My daughter said when I got out and started walking toward the store she stood up looking at me out the window and whining! Made me so happy that she missed me. :)

Aw! A fun day of running around with a frenchie! Who wouldn't love her!?

And haha, that's precious she was whining for you! :D

I'm assuming the once over at the vet went well!

It did. He said that when she was spayed it may not be a bad idea to do her nares. I am looking into it a bit more and reading. They are pretty closed though, I had noticed that also. She is a pretty loud breather at times, but not all the time. She has started to chew her feet a little. The breeder doesn't really have a lot of grass where she was. It's a lot of mulch and leaves and stuff in her big shaded yard. I am thinking she is somewhat allergic to grass. We have grass everywhere. I am sneezing and such too lol. I have been wiping her feet with baby wipes after I bring her in, and started Zyrtec but today while I was at work I went ahead and got some Apoquel. The chewing isn't bad at all but I can't stand to think she is itching. I also did the apple cider vinegar and water foot soak a couple times. I may do that again today or tomorrow.

Tgirl Does her paws look pinkish under paw/between the toes? I have noticed the same with Moses. It always gets worse after he has been playing and running in the grass.
I have wiped them with baby wipes when he comes in. Seems to help. Also when he spends some time without any contact to grass, it gets better really quickly.
I suspected food related allergies for a good while, but it seems that this is more environmental...
Our vet described Isaderm VET gel to be added locally if the redness starts to turn into blisters.

They really don't look pink that I can tell. The vet said that it's a seasonal allergy to grass or pollen. He said "She doesn't have a year around allergy, or I'd be able to tell". He works with us a couple days a week. He has 6 Frenchies and flies to various places in the US to work with Vets that kind of specialize in bulldog breeds. I know he said he saw a ton of Frenchies last week when he was in Miami. Anyway (I got off topic lol) he knows a lot about them so I took her on a day he was there. I think wiping her paws may be helping but I started the Apoquel last night and I haven't seen her chew once. So, that was like a miracle after just one pill.

That's great news that you found a relief for Twiggy so fast! She really is a lucky girl...and busy as it seems :)

She is just the little traveler isn't she.... great errand partner for sure

She is definitely a traveling partner. She's been picking the kids up from school with me. We went by and let her meet my Mom yesterday. My Mom had been wanting to meet her but her car is in the shop being worked on. She isn't really even a dog (or animal) person at all, but she loved Twiggy!

This is so nice to read! So happy to hear she is bringing you so much joy already.

It is so adorable how they look out the window for you hey! You are her saviour you will start to see she loves you just as much you love her!!! Maybe even more?! ( If that's possible ;) )

She is great fun to have around! She had a great life before I got her too. The breeder is fantastic and spends a lot of time with the dogs. They are in the house and a big part of her life.
