IMG_20160419_203741.jpgIMG_20160419_203741.jpgSo we brought home our little girl Friday.

We have been allowing Duke to play with her but he's 4 months and she's 8 weeks so he is larger and heavier than she is and when they both get too excited I separate them because even though I see that Duke just wants to play he just doesn't realize he's bigger and I don't want him to hurt Harley.

Anyone out there have experience and advice on bringing home a new puppy?

You are doing right by limiting their play for now, to make sure the pup doesn't get hurt or too tired. Young pups need their play, but also plenty of rest. So let them play for short times, and when they get too rough stop the play for a little time out.

Congrats on the new baby! too sweet..... yes, limit play for now till she is a little older and stronger.

I love her little sassy pose! "Don't you dare tell me I can't play!" [emoji39]

I'd say you're doing the right thing as well!

Can't wait to see pics of both of them together! (It's nearly impossible for me I hope you have better luck!)

Congrats! She is really cute. I would just recommend short supervised play sessions. I didn't allow play to escalate and get too vocal/growly with my two also.

Well i have a 4 year old great dane and she plays with my 4 month old fbd. She is very gentle but I always supervise it and if I feel they are getting too energetic/excited I end it
