She is on sentinel so it shouldn't be flea's. I have checked her and don't see any sign of flea's. I'm thinking maybe allergies? She has been on the same blue buffalo food for about 5 or 6 weeks...just not sure if that could be a possible cause.
It could definitely be a food sensitivity. Or it could be mites or any other bugs. Has she been laying in grass more recently?
Has she been recently vaccinated?
When you check under the fur...do the bumps looks reddish or just skin colour?
Can be food related. It can take several weeks to any food sensitivities to show. We also struggle with skin issues here. Just transferring Moses from Canagan grain fee to Pure Natural.
I spoke with the pet store lady and she said there has been few clients saying that Canagan caused allergic reactions to their dogs. She said that the food is good quality, but it is very rich and high on protein, so some dogs react to that.
Sometimes it can be a struggle to find the best food that fits to your dog...we have went through Ziwipeak, Orijen, canagan and now going to Pure Natual...If this fails, then mummy must start to understand raw feeding
That can also be some bug attack, ants etc what ever she might have been layed on top of on grass or hives.
Keep us posted.
Rosie had this also and one vet gave antibiotics twice and it went away but came back again. Second vet said it was a flea allergy and put her on Comfortis and so far it has gone away and has not returned. this has been almost 2 months now. Believe he told us Sentinel does not fully get rid of fleas.
Yep, hives, give Benedryl, usually it's 1mg per pound of body weight, but when they are that bad you can double the dose, so I would give her two 25mg tabs of Benedryl. It's hard to say if it's from food or environment, by I would say environment.
Thanks for the help guys! The benadryl really helped. We switched her food to a low ingredient lamb food. No wheat or gluten and she has been bump free ever since. We went with the brand GO and it seems to have fixed the problem
Hi Lee,
My pup is showingthe same symptoms im ordering the go food to see if its a food allergy. Im currently feeding Wellness grain free puppy food. Question, does stella ever get pink at night? Im seeing this happen with my pup Kobe .
