Dark stool?

My dogs stool has been dark brown/blackish ever since the vet gave him prednisone, gabapentine, and methocarbonal for IVDD. Has it been dark because of all these medications he's taking? The stool is not diahrea it's formed a little squishy and blackish/brownish

Most likely from the meds. Same thing happened to Jax.

Yes, meds... you can take a sample to vet and test to be sure but it most likely is the meds

If it's black and tarry looking it could be melena, which is digested blood in stool from an upper gastrointestinal bleed. If it continues it wouldn't hurt to get stool sample checked for blood.
