HI,
I have a 3 yr old Frenchie female, Moolah and we are having some real issues with her vomiting with her food. We have been feeding chicken and rice and also beef and rice which she seems to keep down.
We tried 2 other foods for easy digestion with her vomiting them over a number of hours. We tried Biljac as advised by our pet store and she didn't vomit but had diarreaha which was a puddle in 3 places.
We it wen inhave had her at the vet and had bloodwork which was ok...we were advised to use forti flora probiotic, give 5mg of Prilosec and also could give cottage cheese or plain yogurt.
We just started the probiotic, have been giving Prilosec for a few days I have at times given the cottage cheese and yogurt.
Just at a loss on what to do next....checking in with vet tomorrow but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I know pumpkin is supposed to help loose stool but it seems to just come out the way it went in....just frustrated

I feel your pain! I have been dealing with this for 5 months. My Nellie is 7 months and has had chronic vomiting abs regurgitation from 13 weeks old to date. We started off with Pepcid and forti flora which she still takes today but it didn't make a long story short, after going through various food changes, various motility suppressant drugs, and every diagnostic test (blood work, X-rays, ultrasounds and barium test ), they are now convinced she has hiatal hernia and is going for surgery this coming Thursday to fix it. They will also do a biopsy of her stomach to see if it is anything else. I feel for you. I hope your vet is able to help out. In the mean time what you can do is feed her smaller portions and spread out. Also elevate her food bowl and try to keep her calm after meals. Good luck! Keep us posted

thanks for your reply!!

This might sound kinda dumb but maybe it's her eating position and she needs to eat with her head above her shoulders? WeeDex bought a feeding step for her Frenchie Dexter.

Hopefully it's nothing major, but if it's megaesophagus, you might have to get one of those Bailey chairs where the dog eats vertically and stays there for 20-30 min after eating. Or, if it's just a mild case of megaesophagus you might be able to get by with raised feeding bowl, and try different consistency food that you give in small frequent feedings, eg. try a high caloric density kibble like Orijen, canned dog food, soaked kibble, thin mixture of food and water etc.

I would definitely try a raised feeding position while you are waiting on your vet appointments. You can just pop a flat plate on top of a few books to raise it up off the floor. That's what I did to see if it made any difference, before buying a raised feeder. It helped us massively. If you google Willowstep, that's what we eventually bought him.

Good advice above, plus any time you change foods, you need to do a slow transition, meaning use 3/4 old food to 1/4 new food and over a 7 to 10 day period, slowly back off the old and increase the new, until you are on the new 100%. This will keep their tummies from getting upset and having diarrhea. Plus feeding too much food will also produce soft poop.

well thank you for all the suggestions...Moolah is much better, still on the bland diet after many days of diarrhea and much cleaning up.
Now she doesn't have the diarrhea and is eating small portions 3 times a day....
The vet now suggests I slowly introduce dog food so I'm going to try wellness Simple with a teaspoon at a time for a week then 2 teaspoons the next week,,,

also one thing that we have noticed is her terrible tear stains have lightened up greatly....I had heard it was from the water they drank but obviously its been something in the food
