In a week I'll be getting my forest Frenchie and I'm super excited. I've read their health issues and etc.... but does anyone have any tips or advice about them? Also, any potty training tips as well?
Welcome! You may want to explore the forum a bit, as there are many existing threads which share a wealth of knowledge and tips.
My advice is to get your sleep now while you can
Make sure you have an enzymatic pet carpet cleaner purchased prior to bringing him home and lots of paper towels. Set up his crate or Xpen now. Make sure he has everything he'll need and LOTS of toys.
Welcome! Congratulations on your new frog dog! I'll weigh in on the potty training part. When we got Nacho we took him outside every two hours but especially after eating, playing, and sleeping. In addition to that we tied a bell to our door knob and took his paw and hit the bell when we would go out to potty. With two weeks he learned to ring the bell to let us know he had to go and never had another accident! The bell really worked well for us so maybe it will help you too! Enjoy your new little baby!
Congratulations on your new baby! I think consistency is important when it comes to potty training. Establish a routine and stick to it. First thing in the morning...after meals...after playtime...after naps, etc. take him out. You will still have accidents, but he/she will eventually understand the program. Post some pics. and welcome!
