My 9 month old is a very picky eater. He has at some point eaten and gotten tired of Fromm, Acana, and Orijen kibble and has no interest in Honest Kitchen dehydrated. I recently tried Freshpet refrigerated rolls after finding them in a store and seeing that it has a 5 star rating from Dogfoodadvisor.com. So far he seems to like it and he even appears to have more energy. Has anyone else tried this food for their Frenchie?

One more thing, I've read that it is important to slowly taper off one food and onto another if a change is necessary to avoid stomach upset etc. I have really not done this and he has suffered no ill consequences and his #2's are pretty consistent in firmness and he has never gotten the runs from any of these foods or rapid switching, any thoughts?

Thank you

I have never tried Freshpet but have seen it. Dogfoodadvisor.com is a great resource.

Yes, it is recommended to do a slow transition from one food to another to avoid upset stomach and diarrhea but I wouldn't worry about it if you did not do that and he has not had any issues.

Their grain free varieties look great ! They are cooked at low temperatures, so if your dog has a lot of allergies that remain even after switching to Freshpet I would switch to raw instead.
