The one and only George Clooney is taking his handsome face to the available page! George -- or is it Mr. Clooney? -- is searching for a starring role in someoneā€™s family. Letā€™s hope he finds true love like his namesake! George Clooney made his way to FBRN when his prior family exhausted all efforts and funds trying to get his allergies under control without positive results. They felt that FBRN would give him the best chance at battling his equivalent of the paparazzi.

Weā€™re not going to hide it ā€“ George Clooney is a diva when it comes to his health. Allergies are some of the most difficult issues to deal with and itā€™s a lifelong commitment keeping them under control. His former family had him allergy tested, and frankly heā€™s allergic to just about everything. Right now (and almost miraculously), his foster family has found a good balance of a special diet, regular medicated baths, and prescription medication that keep him pretty comfortable and allowed him to gain weight. When George Clooney was surrendered, he was a measly 16 pounds, despite his former familyā€™s efforts to put weight on him. Thanks to his medical regime, he has packed on a whopping 5 pounds in a month! His once raw pink skin is turning nice and white, and his personality emerged since he no longer had to constantly battle his itchy body. Maintaining his current regime, but being willing to make adjustments as needed, will be key to his forever home. While in foster care, it was also discovered that George has a luxating patella. Right now, surgery isnā€™t required, but his weight and comfort must be closely monitored to make sure his joints arenā€™t too stressed. A joint supplement could help him remain comfortable.

George Clooney lived with children in his prior home and was reportedly good with them, but he does not currently live with children. He is friendly with everyone -- including cats! -- and other dogs, so he would likely do well with kids, but he has not recently been around them. Given his allergies though, older, dog savvy children may be best as they can understand his discomfort and the need to restrict his diet. George Clooney loves other dogs of all kinds ā€“ as well as the resident cat ā€“ and will happily play with them. He is a middle of the pack kind of guy ā€“ heā€™s not the bottom, but he doesnā€™t need to be top dog (we wonā€™t tell his namesake that our George Clooney is okay not being center stage). George Clooney is just happy ā€“ Happy chewing a nylabone by himself, happy playing with others, happy going on walks, happy rolling in the grass. Pretty much, you name it, and heā€™ll be happy about it! He is not, however, tolerant of heat, so walks must be kept to a quick jaunt around the park.

If you havenā€™t caught on, George Clooney is an easy going guy who can fit into a variety of households as long as they are prepared for his allergies. He is housebroken and crate-trained, doesnā€™t need a whole lot of exercise, and gets along with almost all kinds of companions. George Clooney could easily star in a romantic movie (and steal the few remaining hearts he hasnā€™t stolen already) as heā€™s a stellar kisser and snuggler! He enjoys a yard to roll around in and explore, so if you lack a yard, tell us how you will give him a cool daily roll in the grass.
