I gave Carrot goats milk tonight and she LOVED it!! Lapped it up like a little kitten :)
I gave her 2oz (as per the bottle) Thinking I should have started her off with a little less just to make sure she tolerates it. Does anyone else give their frenchie goats milk? How often can you give it to them? Is every day too much?

I do... i give it to them with breakfast. Cheli gets about a quarter cup and I give Lambeau about a half cup.

They LOVE it

They LOVE it! I was off work last week so I slept in and they boyfriend did breakfast... he forgot the milk and couldn't figure out why they were sitting in kitchen looking like they were waiting for. He realized it was the milk on Saturday morning when we were all up at the same time. [emoji23][emoji23]

Hahahahaha. They were probably like, "Hello??? Where's our milk? Is Mom up yet?!?!"

I feed goat milk to Lambo since he's a puppy. I change between raw sheep or goat milk. Now I'm mainly on raw sheep yogurt with 1/4 teaspoon of Manuka honey every morning.

Is there any benefits to goats milk? I've never given it. I used to give Jax kefir but he never tolerated it well.

It is a probiotic... boys love it and have no issues with tolerance and nothing is added to it

Oh, okay. I give them both a powder. Maybe I'll try the goat's milk one day but Jax's tummy seems to be sensitive.

The Honest Kitchen has a goats milk powder you could try

I have seen the HK goat's milk powder. I've been giving them both the HK bone broth here and there.

Carrot has a really sensitive stomach (after her Giardia woes) but she did fine with the Goat's milk last night. But it was the liquid, not the powder. She isn't a huge drinker, but she chugged the milk!!! :)

No joke, Jax is really weird with "supplements." I tried the kefir and if he had more than 1 teaspoon, he would throw up. I just tried a supplement to "help" with his back and he threw up. Krill oil gave him digestive distress and he was constantly gassy. There were some other supplements I tried that did the same thing. He seems to be okay with the bone broth but I haven't given him the full amount based on his weight.

Goats milk is as close to dogs milk as you can get. If we need to bottle feed pups, we give goats milk. We will give it to our adults too from time to time, and they love it.
