Hair loss? Food intolerance?

Hi,

I have a 6 month old frenchie. He was on Jollyes chicken and corn food but I changed him to pedigree puppy food (gradually) as I have read that corn does not always agree with frenchies. It seems since then he has been having excessive hair loss and his poop was yellow (I've read that this could be a sign of food intolerance). I have taken him to the vets who have prescribed him anti-bioitics and checked for mites but it is not this causing the hair loss. I believe it to be the change of dog food. I am trying to switch him back but was just wondering when I could hopefully see an improvement in his coat/fur again and whether switching him back will help?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks.

I would change to a grain free, higher quality kibble. Pedigree is not the greatest brand. Check out this website, it has great information and rates all of the different brands - dogfoodadvisor.com.

@se1991 I agree with the others --- pedigree is not a good food at all. Go high quality grain free and you'll see a difference .

Pedigree has corn in it! It's probably the worst food you baby could eat. Sorry I see what bad dog food does to dogs. I agree with Cbrugs!!! Grain free is the only way to go with bully breads! Good Luck!!!
