Hair loss.......

My 7 month old frenchie is having some hair loss issues right now.

The first issue I saw was right under his neck where his collar is. It seemed like the collar was rubbing up under there so I removed it and it seems to be growing back.

This new issue I saw today as I was giving him bath is right by his tail on his back. He's developing a circle of hair loss. His skin is red as well right at that spot. Also, his skin seems a bit red near his genital area.

I have not done anything different as far as food. Same food, same shampoo, same everything. I am giving him fish oil in his AM feeding which I have been doing for a while.

Any ideas? Not against taking him to the vet, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

Could be mange...... Can you post a picture of the area?

Yes, I would go to the vet for a skin scrape to check for mange. It can be common in puppies.... all dogs have mites, just some can not fight them off and they lose the hair.
