Oh yeah! Heartthrob Harrison has made his way to the available page! This hunk is way too good looking, if you ask us! We have a feeling he'll be scooped up in no time!

Harrison was surrendered when his former family just could not afford his medical care any longer. At 5 years old, this chunk of a frog has had his fair share of doctor's visits. Harrison suffers from chronic ear infections and his ears will need to be cleaned weekly forever and ever. They're under control now and will remain so as long as his new forever family continues to keep his ears clean!

When he arrived at FBRN, Harrison was also suffering from a rash on his tummy. Luckily, it's all cleared up now. We're pretty sure the underlying cause of the rash was skin allergies, so Harrison is now on a regime of medicated baths and a daily Zyrtec. That's been keeping the itches and rashes at bay.

Harrison also has a bit of a head tilt, thanks to vestibular disease. We think it makes him look roguish and charming, but it does cause his equilibrium to be off a bit. As a result, he's not the most graceful pup. On top of all that, while he's had his nares widened and his palate shortened, he overheats quite easily. As a result, he's not really an outdoor kind of dog.

Still, with all that Harrison sure is a charmer! He loves pretty much every one he's ever met. Cats, other dogs, kids, people? Harrison loves them all. His foster mom reports that he finds his foster fur-brother to be just about the greatest thing ever. They are two peas in a pod, so a home with another dog would be wonderful. Harrison can be a bit insistent when he wants to play with another dog and could be overwhelming to a senior pup, but another pooch about his age and size would be perfect for him. He just wants to play, play, play!

Harrison has a wonderful, easy-going personality. He doesn't need much in the way of walks and exercise, and never in temps above 70 or in the sunshine. While he is learning to be better on the leash, sometimes he'll decide he's had enough and just plop down on the sidewalk. Some tasty treats might convince him to continue his walk but he's a Frenchie: who knows what he wants? (Pretty sure it's treats)

When Harrison came to FBRN he was not at all housebroken. Now, his foster mom puts him at about 85%. Most of the time, he will go to the back door to signal that he needs to potty. However, if you don't spot him in time he'll just potty wherever he pleases. Harrison is also picky. He does not like to potty on grass - the patio will do just fine for him! He is crate trained, but he doesn't really like it much. And he'll potty in his crate if left alone too long. We are saying attention must be paid. He's not low-maintenance. If potty accidents are a deal-breaker for you, he's not your guy.

The ideal home for Harrison would be one with an experienced Frenchie owner. Because of his many health issues, he needs someone who is intimately familiar with the breed. If you work away from the home, he'd need a mid-day potty break to prevent accidents in his crate. But Harrison probably wouldn't mind going to work with you so long as you took him to out to potty regularly!
