Hi:

I am turning to the experts for advice.

I have a Frenchie that just turned 2. she is a blue pied. She is an absolute joy but I have 2 problems I have not been able to solve.

The first one is that she is on Proin for uncontrollable urination. If this helps her I have no problem giving it to her and it does seem to help but not 100%. She just peed in my bed this morning. That is highly unusual so I just dont get it.

The second problem I have is she is great with any dog she has come in contact with but she has what is supposedly called possession aggression. I had a trainer over and he told me this is incurable. You can control it to to a certain degree but never get rid of it completely. She is great with my daughters dog who I babysit sometimes until it comes to feeding time or bedtime treat. Then she will growl and attack. We have been able to work around this to some degree but it is very frustrating for me and for Stella.

Has anyone come across this, can it be fixed, is there help out there?
I would appreciate any feedback.

What a beauty!

It is a hard fix, you need to find a trainer willing to work with you and her, it is a long road, for now, feed them separately or in crates till you find the right trainer

Yes, find a trainer and maybe even one that will come to your home. Some dogs will just need to be fed separately at all times.

I guess I will have to look for another trainer. I did have one that came to the house and hes the one that told me that you can never get rid of it completely, you can just partially control it.

I would love to get her a companion but I am afraid to because it is very upsetting to see her so tense and angry.

My female bulldog was very similar, she only accepted puppies... any dog over 10 moths, she wanted to eat for a snack. We sent her to boot camp and then we had training at home for a couple days, then a night a week until we got her where we could handle her... she was a 9 year training session

Also, this trainer saying, it is never gone, but controlled is correct. You can train them to behavand follow your commands, but it is up to YOU to be able to consistently be aware and command the situation

Nothing to add as far as advice goes, but welcome to you and Stella!

Loki is beautiful. Thank you for the welcome

Welcome!! She's a cutie. Good luck with her issues. I agree with hiring a trainer to help work through her aggression.
