Help with THK

Hi everyone
We've been feeding Lua THK(embark/turkey) for the last month or so... She is about 4.5 months old and she is pooing like crazy(especially at night). We do not have her fully potty trained yet. She can hold her pee through the night, but not poo. She goes around 2-3xs during the night....We are feeding her about 1/3 dry and 1/2 water 3X's per day. Is it possible we are giving her too much? Her weight is fine- she is about 12lbs currently.

How is the consistency of the poop? You can probably try cutting back some.

For the most part- solid.

Some people have mentioned more pooping on the dehydrated raw. Would you be interested in a frozen raw?

How late at night are you feeding dinner? Can you make the time earlier and maybe do a walk before bed?

They do poop a lot on THK, it's actually one of the reasons I switched to frozen raw. Gus wasn't having accidents, but just the fact that he was pooping as much as my old dog did on kibble didn't make me feel right. It's a good food, but the poop amount isn't going to change much, although, the frequency should as your puppy gets older.

We feed FROMM Puppy Gold in the pink bag and have had good luck with it. Feeding three times a day is good. When they get 6 to 7 months of age you can switch to twice a day, but the same amount as three times, just split into two meals, and also change to adult food then.

Feed her 3x’s a day. 7:30,12:30,5:30. Think Im going ro switxh her off to fromm for a little bit and see how that goes.

From the label on the box it looks to me like you should be measuring out about 1/2 cup Embark mixed with 3/4 cup water 3 times a day, which would be 1 and a half cups per day dry food in total.
I know when I had my 8 yr old dog on EasyRaw she was pooing about 3 times a day quite substantially each time.
