I just got a french bull dog puppy he will be 15 weeks old on friday, ive just been giving him soft plastic bones and soft bones that wrap around a filling
Im wondering how old he has to be to chew on antlers and hard bones?

I was also wondering about raw food, is it healthier then kibble? Im feeding my puppy acanna small breed puppy food. Is there a certain age when he should get started on raw food if I decide to feed him it?
What type of raw food wouod every one reccomend?

Yes, raw is healthier than kibble. You can start now if you wanted. There are many commercial brands out there like Vital Essentials, Primal, Tucker's, Stella & Chewy. These can be more expensive as they are already formed into patties. I use Vital Essentials and Tucker's that I can get from a local store. I also order Hoo Raw online and I get green bison tripe delivered. Depending on where you live, there are some companies online where you can order patties and chubs that are already balanced with the necessary meat/bone/organ ratio. And if you live near one, shipping costs would be low.

Another option is freeze dried or dehydrated raw. The Honest Kitchen and Grandma Lucy's are a couple of brands.

Spot Farms is another dehydrated raw brand that is 15% less expensive than Honest Kitchen or Grandma Lucy's , 63.83 for 8 pounds compared to 95.05 for 10 pounds of Honest Kitchen

You can let him chew hard bones now. In fact we let pups younger than that chew them. As far as raw, just make sure you feed a well balanced diet so he will get all the nutrition he needs to be a healthy pup.

Whatever food you end up with, make sure it's either for puppies or rated for all life stages. If it's just rated for adults or seniors, it probably doesn't have the right calcium/phosphate amounts needed for healthy bone growth.
