As you know, Jax had surgery and he is recovering well. A dog with IVDD definitely needs to be restricted with jumping and stair use. Sometimes they need strict crate rest if they have a flare up. You might want to see a neurologist as they specialize in these kinds of things.

Okay thank you he is still able to walk he's on steroids and crated and we'll start the laser therapy soon
