There was a wishing well at our hotel so we made a wish that all the homeless dogs in the world would find furever homes, like Lexi did.

Time for the 3 hour ride home, along with a little car sickness from Jake:bad:
For the holiday we ventured out of town with my daughter's dog, Lexi and our two. The hotel was so dog friendly and we never felt uncomfortable having them with us in the lobby for coffee, or walking the grounds saying hi to the other dogs and their owners. One night the hotel even provided a sitter/walker for us because we were going to be gone for about 5 hours. There was a nice grassy area right outside our front door for the dogs to relieve themselves and play. It was such a great experience and the dogs all did so great. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you're like me and hate leaving your smush face lil sweethearts in a kennel or at home!

Sounds like a great time was had by all! And I just love the picture of Jake and Stella taking a nap...too cute.

P.S. Jax gets carsick too...ugh.

That sounds like a great hotel!! Wally would knock over that little wire fence in seconds, Uma would just jump over it.

Love the napping pic, Stella is so little in comparison! I love the colour of Jake's eyes. Such a gorgeous group of pups!

We travel a lot with our dogs and neither of them get car sick, thankfully! They usually just nap the whole time.

I'm glad you guys had fun. It looks like a nice place. I've been thinking on dog friendly hotels for when we get our Frenchie next year. My older dog will have to stay at the Veterinary hospital where I work so he can be watched closely, and medicated often. He is also blind and gets nervous if he doesn't know where he is. He is used to the Vet hospital though, and always gets excited when I take him. I'm glad you had a good experience. That helps to ease my mind.

great photos and sounds like it was a wonderful stay? Can to share where you were?

Looks, and sounds like a great time! Glad you had a good experience there!

Our first family vacation was also Isabelle's first big road trip & hotel stay.

Walking around the streets and boardwalk, she actually learned the way right back to the hotel AND hotel room. She would zoom ahead on her leash and already be in the lobby before we were rounding the corner. Everyone got a kick out of that one, with her little baby puppy self standing and waiting for the automatic doors to open.

She also met her first frenchie ever that wasn't her mother or littermates! She was unsure of him, but gosh was he adorable!

So again, glad you had a safe trip!

We drove to Santa Barbara which is north of us. We stayed at the Belmond El Encanto. It had recently been refurbished and my husband and I had not been there in 25 years so it was kind of special. They were so nice to all of the dogs and everyone behaved themselves.

That's funny about the gate because mine are afraid of it ha-ha! Yes Stella is small compared to Jake, but she is one tough, strong little dog indeed. She would pull my shoulder out of it's socket in tug of war if I let her. Your so fortunate no car sickness. I'm jealous.

Loved the pics and looks like they have a nice relaxing vacation.

Looks like you had a great time! You were in my home town :)

That is so cool. I think things are a lot different on the west coast... much more laid back. So glad they got to travel with you!
