Hello,
We have two rescues, Thelma & Louise. 2 years ago they came to us ages unknown from a puppy mill that was raided, and obviously MANY litters for the older of the two. The older one, Wheezie, (maybe 7-10 years old?), has had very droopy, ummm, teets (?). In the span of about 3 months, she developed a cyst in the mammary area and it became rather large, almost the size of a golf ball and firm to the touch. Aside from being bulky, it doesn't seem to bother her. Vet took a look and suggested removal which we are hoping to have done by the end of the year, as soon as they can fit us in.

Has anyone else had this problem with their female frenchie?

Thank you...cindy...

I’m sorry I have no experience with this condition...just really glad that Thelma & Louise ended up in your home ❤️ You obviously care greatly and they are lucky to have you [emoji5]

I work at a veterinary hospital and we do see a number of dogs that aren't spayed, or spayed late that get mammary tumors. I am glad she ended up with you. Poor girl. Please keep us updated.

Thank you, we feel WE are the ones who were rescued. :)
They are such little loves, a horrible shame their previous hoomans treated them so bad.

I will! If anything, like me, another person may run into this issue, and like me be scared for their furry one and can learn how the process goes. I think I'm just nervous about the surgery and what this cyst/growth is. Thanks again!

I have no experience, but these tend to be common in breeder mama's ... sending you lots of positive thoughts and prayers all goes well. please keep us posted

Thank you so much for rescuing them, and giving them a loving fur-ever home. I have no experience with this, but sounds like they are in good hands.
