Hey all!

Well Phoebe (which was the name we wanted to call her before we got her) has been renamed to Trixie!! Once she arrived she didn't seem like a Phoebe, so Trix it is!

Anyway, what is your morning routine?? Think previously I have seen a few threads about this but can't seem to find them now.

I'm asking because when she wakes up, i take her to her place to wee straight away.. then have a little 5 minute play, then feed her.. but she's not interested in food in the morning, she just wants to play! I don't know if it's because i'm going things in the wrong order but i need her to eat early as i'd like her to poo before i go to work hahaha!

Obviously it's difficult at the moment as she can't go outside until she has her last jab (16 days and counting!!!!) so i know a walk in the morning will tire her slightly.. but do you play before she eats or do you make her eat then play??

Ive attached a pic too :D (she finds the weirdest positions to sleep in hahaha!! IMG_20160728_112955 (1).jpg

Awww very cute pic! And they sleep in the most ridiculous photos you wait and see! About our morning routine, it require big changes for me. I used to sleep in until 7:15am and now at 6.00am ok the dot she wakes the entire house. So we wake up at 6am I then take her out of her crate and we have 5 mins of our morning greeting when she acts like I've been gone for ten years and wants to lick me silly. Then we put on her harness and leash and outside we go for pee and poo. Then when we come back, she wants to play for a bit and then cuddle for 30 mins. Because she's on a raw diet before I take her out, I put out her food, dish out the right portion and then leave it out to warm up. Then at 6:40am i put her in to have breakfast then after 5-10 mins we go for a second round of potty outside.
I put her back into her crate and then I go for a shower. I am back at 7:15am, I have a quick breakfast and we head out for our quick morning walk. This one is short normally and if she didn't poo after her breakfast she normally does so on this walk. Because she's a puppy she wants to play during the walk so I bring along a rope toy. We are back at the house at 7:45am. Then I get my things ready for work. I put her back in her crate and give her the kong toy stuffed with treats, say goodbye and leave for work by 7:50ish. She is so good when am leaving she sits quietly and looks at me then she goes to her kong.

It's been this way for more than three months. But the routine changed as if two days ago because my mom is visiting for two months and is now home with her all day. She will get spoiled lol. Because your puppy is so young it's good to set a routine but I understand that it'll change once she is able to outside. Ours was all over the place before she could go outside.

I got my pups in the habit of eating right away after a quick pee outside. When they were too young to walk I would play with them to tire them out. Tired dog = good dog. :D

I was lucky with both dogs as they are both eaters and want to eat right away.

Yes i'm finding it difficult at the moment not going outside as I don't feel like she's worn out after playing and when i have to start getting ready for work she's crying if i put her back in her crate, but if i leave her out she's into everything and i can't take my eyes off her so feel rushed getting ready for work. When she wakes up shes so excited she's grunting, snorting and licking like I haven't seen her in a week, very cute :p

Yep, since i got her she was always straight into her food, thought she was going to be a big eater.. but the past few mornings she seems more interested in playing! I've seen a few threads saying put food down for 10 mins then remove, they'll soon learn but i don't want her to go hungry, poor little bat head  <3 hahaha

In the morning we are all business.... out for potty, breakfast and then the pups usually just go lay on the couch or chew a bone. No playtime as we get up with just enough time to do all that has to happen in the morning. In most cases, they want to just go back to sleep after eating

I get up and let them out right away. Then feed them breakfast. Then leave them out on our deck to play... it has a kiddie pool filled with water for them on it. I leave them outside until I'm ready to go to work. That way they aren't inside all day.

On days I don't work I still let them out and feed them at the same time as work days... but there's no other routine I follow because I'm not leaving them for the day so we do whatever we want ☺

We're the same here - out for the toilet then food. Then he'll just either snooze, chew, or follow me everywhere until I let him come in to the bathroom while I shower and get ready...... There is ZERO privacy here haaaaa!

Yep, we are the same way, wake up, go potty, and then eat. She will get it as she gets a little older, just be patient and persistent, :)

Yup, I get up at 0440hrs to take her out, she pees and poos right away then she comes in to eat. She will then play for abit in her x-pen and I take her for a walk around 0600-0630hrs, where she will pee a few times and poo again. Then I get ready for work and take her for last morning pee at 0700hrs then my husband comes home for lunch to let her out.
