Do you need to get an MRI before a laser therapy? If so on average how much is it? My dog has IVDD.

My answer would be not necessarily. You said you had an X-ray done so that might be good enough. JBecause of the way Frenchie's are built and their spines are usually already a little wonky, X-ray's aren't always 100% accurate. An MRI will be more accurate and possibly find things the X-ray did not. ax had an X-ray done but it didn't show anything so he had to have an MRI. The MRI was about $1,800 plus whatever the anesthesia cost was as they have to be put under for an MRI to get done. Have you seen a neurologist? They specialize in these kinds of conditions so a consult with one might be a good idea.
